How To Crush Social Media Marketing And Build A Personal Brand In No Time

You’ve seen the “influencer life”...

Where you can wake up, decide to hop on a plane to Italy and leave in the next few days.

Complete freedom to do whatever you want.

Well, it didn’t happen overnight — but all of these influencers and social media creators have something in common.

They were able to monetize their unique abilities.

And the beauty is that we’re all one-of-a-kind, with different experiences, skill sets, and visions.

Meaning you can do the same. You just need a time-tested blueprint to follow.

And that’s what we’re covering today.

1. Choose the right social media platform and monetization avenue

There are four primary social media platforms, and your decision will be based on the type of content you create and how you want to monetize yourself.

For instance, YouTube pays creators through ad revenue, and typically creators also search for brand deals. This also falls under the content monetization route, where you decide to be entertaining rather than provide value. You can also use TikTok videos to drive traffic to your YouTube and make ad revenue — it’s just not as much as YouTube.

But if you want to build a business that looks and feels much more like a business, then you’ll want to choose a platform like Twitter (X) that attracts these types of people.

The other factor in this decision is this: Do you want to make video content where you show your face? Do you want to write? And do you want to show your face and be public?

To start, choose no more than two of the following platforms: Twitter, Instagram (Reels), TikTok, and YouTube. Some of these are complementary, while others don’t necessarily blend together unless you vary your content (e.g., Twitter & YouTube).

2. Study other successful content and replicate it

This will be trial and error. But you’ll want to try and replicate the success of others, but in your own unique way.

If you’re planning to make content about your landscaping business (and how to start one), look up the most viral posts about landscaping already. See what made that content go viral. What questions were they asking? (more content ideas)

Once you’ve got a good grasp of the content that goes viral, start posting.

3. Post consistently

If you need ideas, go back to step two and look around. Always try to put a unique spin on other people’s content, as you don’t want to copy.

Don’t overcomplicate this section. If things aren’t working, keep testing new ideas to find something that does work. Social media is a science, and you just need to run the most experiments.

4. Start monetizing

If ad revenue is your monetization strategy, you just need to pull the most views possible. But if you’re planning on selling a course, newsletter, or private coaching (all of which I recommend), then you’ll need to build out a full scale business plan.

For instance, you’ll need some sort of website, email service provider, and a place to host your products. Beehiiv is an excellent way to integrate all three.

Next, you’ll want to study copywriting. Plus, it will help with your content creation, as creating viral, catchy hooks comes back to writing.

Lastly, determine your pricing. You might do a free newsletter. And on the newsletter, you sell your course that costs anywhere from $37 to $997. And in the course, you sell a specialized version of your course with extra help where you mentor the person for $1,000 to $5,000 per month, depending on your unique skill set.

And that’s it for today…

Cheers,
